I’m A Celebrity 2018: ITV rules out Holly Willoughby replacement | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Holly Willoughby launched the eighteenth series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! with regular host Declan Donnelly on Sunday night.

The This Morning presenter, who is standing in for Ant McPartlin, received a mixed response to her debut.

Now, bookmakers have put odds on Holly, 37, being replaced by Extra Camp’s Scarlett Moffat or someone else before the show ends.

However, ITV bosses have branded the claims “absolute rubbish” and said they were pleased with Holly’s performance.

“We are very happy with Holly presenting alongside Dec,” an ITV representative told Digital Spy.

It is little surprise producers are satisfied with Holly’s hosting abilities, as the the channel achieved its highest viewing figures for a launch show in five years.

A peak of 11 million viewers tuned in to ITV to watch the mother-of-three present alongside 43-year-old Dec.

ITV announced the ratings news on Twitter, writing: “Last night’s @imacelebrity launched with 11 million /51% (up 750k year on year) making the biggest overnight rating of 2018 outside of World Cup matches.

“The audience peaked with 11.9 million /51% share.”

On last night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity, viewers rushed to social media after seeing a slightly red John Barrowman smothered in suncream.

The former Doctor Who actor appeared to have been given some cream to help reduce the redness and could be seen sporting a thick layer of the lotion at Croc Creek camp.

Aftersun cream was rubbed into his eyebrows and over his nose, which resulted in viewers commenting on his appearance on Twitter.

One person wrote: “I see they’ve clubbed together for sun cream for John!” While another said: “Glad to see John Barrowman has some aftersun.”

A third commentator added: “John wearing a face mask is the kind of extra I want to aspire to be like.”

Someone else swooned: “Bless John having smothered his face in aftersun,” as a fifth noted: “Loving all the suncream on John’s face.”

Another enthused: “So happy John Barrowman in I’m A Celeb. I love him so much!”

Earlier in the show, John used the jungle shower for the first time, but was shocked by how cold the water was.

“It’s really cold on my willy,” the 51-year-old TV star exclaimed after jumping into the makeshift shower.

Meanwhile, celebrities at Snake Rock were forced to wash in a stream close to their camp.
