I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2018 is days away from launching on television screens and ahead of the line-up being announced, a behind the scenes secret has been revealed.
It is no secret the contestants bags are checked and authorised before entering the camp.
Whilst some celebrities are in the Australian jungle for up to a month, they are restricted on the amount of clothing and personal items they can take with them.
Regardless, they are all given a khaki and red uniform. Another chosen colour is introduced should the camps be split up.
However, the number of underwear items each contestant can pack is dictated by show bosses.
The Sun previously reported how the show’s health and safety specialist Medic Bob, explained how campmates can only back three pairs of pants and three pairs of swimwear.
Whilst that seems a particular low amount considering their possible duration of stay, it is a better alternative should the show’s co-creator have decided.
Natalka Znak initially suggested they only take one pair of pants and swimwear into camp.
It comes after Christopher Biggins, the former 2007 winner explained what the celebrities will be doing in the run up to the series launch.
Those who have signed up to the 2018 show will be preparing themselves to jet off to Australia for days of gruesome Bush Tucker Trials.
The contestants have no idea who else is going into the jungle, they are all kept apart and have “no idea what is going on” until they enter.
“They should be packing and making their way out,” Christopher explained to Lorraine earlier in the week.
“You will arrive separately, are given a minder and never see anybody, so you have no idea what is going on.
“There are 500 people involved in making the show and 150 cameras so you can’t do anything.
“They see it all – except the dunny!”
Lorraine added: “No one wants to see that frankly.”
As for the rumoured line-up, the actor discussed who he would like to see take part.
The Chase’s Anne Heggerty has supposedly signed up and Christopher said she would be “marvellous”.
On speculation of Strictly Come Dancing 2018 contestant Seann Walsh going in, he commented: “He would be very good as I think they [show bosses] think there would be a relationship going on somewhere.”
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2018 returns Sunday 18 November at 9pm on ITV.
