The Chase 2018: Bradley Walsh’s cough causes chaos on ITV show | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

The Chase’s Bradley Walsh is usually on fine form on ITV’s popular game show.

One of the things that helps him be such a fantastic presenter is his voice and quick wit.

However, he was hindered this evening as he was suffering from a sore throat which made things slightly more difficult.

Bradley has to ask questions as rapid pace during the contestants’ cash builders, and his sore throat proved to be an issue during the show.

He couldn’t get the questions out quick enough for the contestants.

“First of all, I must apologise for my voice,” he said.

“I’m struggling at the moment.”

However, Bradley soldiered on regardless and still managed to present the show with his usual enthusiasm.

That said, many of his contestants didn’t manage to make it to the final round.

Some of the show’s viewers took to Twitter to express concern for The Chase’s presenter.

“Bradley sounds a little hoarse,” one wrote.

“Quite liking Brad with a husky voice,” another commented.

“Bradley doesn’t sound very well,” a third wrote.

Another viewer tweeted: “Someone chuck Bradley some Calpol.”

“Oooh, Bradley sounds like he’s about to lose his voice,” commented a final viewer.

Meanwhile, last night’s show saw Bradley shocked after a contestant’s rude swipe.

The contestant, Lauren, revealed she had never heard of the Moomins which is based on a series of books and a comic strip by Finnish illustrator Tove Jansson.

“I thought you’d get that one right,” Bradley said.

“Well, I wasn’t born, so…” she replied with a grin.

Bradley then looked at the camera in complete shock and said: “Yes, you’re right. For that four grand.”

The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
