presenter announced Robbie Williams would be missing from the show for several weeks.

It was already known Robbie would be missing this weekend’s shows, but not several weekends in succession.

X Factor judge Robbie only joined the panel this series along with wife Ayda Williams.

Robbie, 44, will miss tomorrow’s show after flying to South America tonight.

Tonight’s show was pre-recorded earlier in the evening so that Robbie could make both the ITV show and his concert abroad.

This resulted in no correction or live apology during the sound issues.

Ayda, Simon Cowell and Louis Tomlinson will return without Robbie tomorrow night so the former Take That member can tend to his other commitments.

Nile Rodgers will replace Robbie on the panel tomorrow, but will not have any voting power.

The 66-year-old Chic star helped acts this evening, but may now be stepping in for several weeks.

Viewers instantly took to social media to fume about Robbie’s absence.

One fan tweeted: “The fact that Robbie Williams is going to miss the next three weeks makes me wonder why he was hired as a judge… Get someone who can be there every week! I also don’t think Ayda is working out… Tbh, I miss Louis Walsh and his indecision #XFactor.”

“FOR COUPLE OF WEEKS? CAN LIAM PAYNE REPLACE ROBBIE AFTER NILE? #XFactor,” requested another.

A third fumed: “It’s ridiculous #xfactor aren’t going live cos Robbie is touring. Robbie shouldn’t have been a judge unless he could commit especially for the lives.”

It comes after The X Factor returned from a break this evening with huge audio issues.

The sound interference carried on for the entire segment until the next advert break.

Danny Tetley and Anthony Russell both performed while “sounding like Daleks”.

The X Factor displayed a message to viewers which read: “We are sorry for the temporary interference in sound.”

ITV also took to its official Twitter account to apologise for the blunder.

Their tweet read: “We are sorry for the temporary interference in sound.”

continues tomorrow on .
